The first exhibition that NTV Europe coordinated and organized with overseas collections was the Van Gogh Exhibition at the Yokohama Museum of Art and the Nagoya City Art Museum in 1995-1996. Artworks from the Kroller-Muller Museum were shown in Japan, and these attracted many art lovers in Japan.
In cooperation with the Louvre Museum in Paris, NTVE has brought to Japan a number of themed exhibitions such as on 19th Century French Paintings, 17th Century European Paintings, and Greek sculptures. NTVE has also planned and coordinated the organization of exhibitions on Salvador Dali, Alphonse Mucha, M.C. Escher and many others.
The year 2018 has started with the Exhibition of Brueghel: 150 Years of an Artistic Dynasty. After successful exhibition at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, this tours other 4 venues in Japan until March 2019, starting from Toyota Municipal Museum of Art.
NTV is soon to present The Art of Portraiture in the Louvre Collections as the first project in the so-called 20-year-project with the Louvre, and as a special project to mark the 65th anniversary of NTV. This exhibition is organized as a symbol of the good relationship of NTV with the Louvre and all the 8 Departments of the Louvre will join this exhibition.
